What's it like to live in Asia?

I've been living in Taiwan for almost four years now. I've also visited China. I'm a full time English Instructor, trying to make my way in this world. For those who don't know it, Asia is really different from the west. It's hard to sum it up in just a few words, but if I could capture the differences in just one word, I'd say, the WEST is all about having a CONFIDENT ATTITUDE towards life, and the EAST is all about GAINING SATISFACTION from life. They're almost virtual opposites, if you can imagine. It's hard for me to even comprehend all the differences.
